Glenn Llopis

Cuban fusion in the music world means passionate rhythms infused with infectious melodies. In the speaking world, Cuban fusion means one person: Glenn Llopis. He combines the work ethic of his immigrant experience with a passion for innovation, entrepreneurial insights applied to the corporate world, and a concern for the human experience in the workplace.

Glenn Llopis (pronounced 'yō-pēs) focuses on bringing the immigrant perspective to business leadership and workplace innovation. Founder of the Center for Hispanic Leadership and the Center for Innovation and Humanity, Glenn is a consultant and author. Glenn speaks frequently on issues concerning the global workplace, helping employees find new purpose, innovation, and maintaining ethical leadership.

The son of Cuban immigrants who were victims of Castro's revolution, Glenn combines an immigrant's perspective, and a UCLA education, with fast-tracked years at the Gallo Wine Company and Sunkist where he became the youngest senior manager in the company's 100-year history. Leading the successful turnaround of Sunkist's juice beverage division opened the door for his next endeavor, as the vice president of the $1 billion Norway Seafood Co. at only 30 years old. The result was a transformation of that company, as Glenn brought the voices of all its employees into the company debate about its future for the first time in its history.

In the decade since, Glenn has parlayed his executive and organizational experience into innovative ventures that have been featured in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, The Financial Times, Advertising Age, Brandweek, MSNBC, and Yahoo! News. He has published more than 30 articles appearing in these and other business publications and has successfully launched several new business ventures. Glenn is the former Chairman of the Executive-2-Executive Mentoring Program Committee at the University of California at Irvine, and Faculty Lecturer at the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics at Chapman University, and the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Glenn also serves as a mentor for Junior Achievement, and he is a regular Renaissance Weekend participant.

Glenn has launched new ventures in the United States, Mexico, Canada and Western Europe. He is expert at building consensus, creating successful organizations and negotiating with multiple stakeholders. He specializes in managing high-level client relationships and leading equity development programs. He is flexible, innovative, and action-oriented. Glenn participates in industry and business community councils and serves as a columnist, board member and keynote speaker.

"You represent your most immediate and ongoing opportunity. However, you must lead by being your most authentic whole self."

Diversity Management is the Key to Growth: Make it Authentic

Diversity management is the key to growth in today's fiercely competitive marketplaces around the world. Organizations that seek global market relevancy must embrace true diversity – in how they think, act and innovate. Finding Your Authentic Leadership Voice

We are transitioning from a knowledge-based to a wisdom-based economy. It's not only about what you know, but what you do with what you know. The immigrant perspective on business leadership embraces transparency, trust, individuality, risk, social responsibility, the entrepreneurial attitude, one's passion and a promise to be a community-minded leader in the workplace (just to name a few). Thriving in the new economy depends on committing yourself to these attributes.

This intensive two-day training program focuses on discovering and enabling your authentic leadership voice for the new economy. To achieve sustainable impact, we all must embrace the natural characteristics that reside within our cultural roots.

Defining Your Personal Employee Brand

The uncertainty of the post-2008 economy has demanded more from the workforce. All too often, employees have been forced to sacrifice their own identities in the crush of business necessity. They are now eager to reclaim those personal identities as the economy improves and opportunities return. In order for organizations to retain top talent, they must empower their employees to have a voice that matters.

An employee brand represents the totality of what an individual can contribute to the workplace for the advancement and betterment of a healthier whole. The reclamation process begins by allowing employees to serve as a natural extension of the corporate brand.

This high-impact, two-day training program focuses on helping participants identify their personal employee brands and activate them in support of their organization's mission, goals and objectives.
